We are looking for a Specialist Practitioner to join our Clinical Team to provide individual intervention work young people in our service, support our integrated care, education and therapy programmes with young people, and share our commitment to making a difference in young people’s lives.
The successful candidate will already have
- A professional qualification in Social work, Psychology or Psychotherapy and
- post graduate qualifications in a therapeutic approach
- Registration as a qualified practitioner with the relevant professional body, (or within 6-12 months of achieving this)
- At least 3-5 years (minimum of 2 after completion of post-graduate qualification) experience in applying therapeutic models of intervention in various settings
- Sound knowledge and experience of the application of clinical risk assessment tools in the assessment and management of interpersonal aggression
- Sound knowledge of the aetiology of sexually abusive and sexually aggressive behaviours in young people, and the relevant risk management/risk resolution strategies
- Proven abilities in the planning, delivery and monitoring of clinical programmes for young people, and their families
- Experience in producing high quality clinical reports
- Experience of working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
